Consulting to Programs Already Using Focused Portfolios™

The Timing of On-going Support:

We recommend a check-in meeting about 90 days after initial training to use Focused Portfolios™.

Purpose:
  • to uncover misunderstandings and address any confusion

  • to un-stick those who are reluctant to get started

  • to clarify steps to getting started

  • to look over samples of what has already been collected

We suggest a meeting to help participants review their first collections and prepare their first conferences.

After participants have learned the entire Focused Portfolios™ process, we suggest a session to help teachers move to a deeper level of assimilating portfolios into the overall curriculum framework. This might involve an in-depth examination of how The Project Approach or High/Scope or Creative Curriculum can work seamlessly with the Focused Portfolios™ approach.
